Description: The aim of this article is to bring into discussion Georg Simmel’s text On a Psychology Shame (2018 [1901]) in light contemporary revision. Although I will retrieve several authors, focus on approaches from two authors: Agnes Heller and Sara Ahmed. believe the convergence between proposals (Simmel, Heller, Ahmed) agree with approach emotions plainly proposed by Ahmed who emphasizes performative relational character emotions, that is, how “do things”, are social products, at same time they have effects. In sense, my goal explain –from perspective– it also possible establish program for analysis specifically articulation body, his proposal about feelings as second-order forms 2014; Canto-Mila, 2012; Seebach, 2017). case, shame does things body since an “affective mark” certain bonds.
